Several times it happens that you need to get an offline installer because you don't have internet connection on your system on which you want to install the software or you want to keep the installer for future use without having to download it again. But some vendors don't want to give offline installers to the users as because online installers are more smart to install the latest version and save your bandwidth by downloading only the components that your system really requires.
